The Homes of Ponce de Leon
Manufactured Home Community
Indialantic, Florida
Indialantic lies between the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean. When it began its development in 1916, the only means of access was by boat or ferry. In 1921 a wooden bridge, lit with kerosene lanterns, was opened allowing easier travel across the Indian River to Melbourne.
In 1975 the Indialantic Town Counsel designated this community as a bird sanctuary. They take great measures to protect its animal species and plant life. This town by the sea, population of less than 3,000, remains a natural and unspoiled part of Florida.
Indialantic is a coastal community that lies just north of Melbourne Beach on Florida's East Coast.
