Florida Fishing Licenses
Florida fishing licenses are required for both salt water and fresh water fishing. However, there are a few exemptions for Florida fishing licenses. They include: (1) children under 16 years of age, (2) Florida residents age 65 or older possessing proof of age and residency, (3) Florida residents certified as totally and permanently disabled with a Florida Resident Disabled Person Hunting and Fishing Certificate, (4) residents who are members of the Armed Forces of the United States not stationed in this state and are home on leave for 30 days or less. A state of Florida fishing license must be renewed annually. Florida fishing licenses are available at bait shops, sporting goods stores, fish camps, the County Tax Collector’s office, and online.
