Walden Shores is a unique pet friendly community tucked away in a relaxed country atmosphere, a community that offers a variety of choices: tennis, shuffleboard, fishing, boating, and preserved nature areas. Located on the banks of 7,532-acre Lake Walk-In-Water, Walden Shores is surrounded by nature. Special care has been taken to preserve the natural environment of the area. Residents often sit by the lake enjoying the beauty of the wooded neighborhood.

But it may be the fishermen who enjoy Lake Walk-In-Water (Weohyakapka) the most. The lake has a boat ramp and fishing pier and the fishermen praise the excellent fishing.

Our central location makes it easy to visit Florida’s popular attractions: Disney World, EPCOT, MGM and Universal Studios, and Sea World are all less than an hour’s drive away. The white sand beaches of both the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean are within 75 miles. Winter Haven, with LegoLand Florida and restaurants, is only a 20-mile drive; and Lake Wales, with Bok Tower Gardens, shopping and theaters, is within easy reach of your new home.

There are also excellent medical facilities nearby. The Lake Wales Medical Center provides comprehensive care in a warm, caring environment. Staffed by a team of skilled professionals, this hospital also has a women’s wellness center and an extended care facility. Additionally, there is a 24-hour, manned EMS station less than a mile away.
