Florida Boat Registration

Florida Boat Registration

Boats powered by motors, whether used in salt or fresh water, must have a Florida boat registration. Boat registration in Florida can be made at the County Tax Collector’s office.  Properly registered out-of-state boats used within the state for 90 days or less do not need a Florida boat registration.  Any boats that will be used for longer than 90 days must be registered.  Once you have a Florida boat registration, you will a receive renewal notice in the mail one month prior to the annual renewal date.  All boats are renewed in the month of June.  To learn more about boat registration in Florida visit http://www.flhsmv.gov/dmv/faqboat.html.
